Eulogy To A Friend

A connection of elements that share the feeling of loss...
Stop the bells
Silence the choir
Forget flying the flags at half-mast
Lay down the guns
Lest they prove
To few to salute you
As for the flowers
There aren't enough hours
That could buy enough of them for you
I stand in your wake
Behind the parade
That leaves us quiet today
And wait for the sun
To no longer belong
I don't care for it now anyway
