And before you know it, it has become the latest fad. It is a rage and people all over the country will be swearing by it. Nope, there is no way out, if you are an intelligent human being, even mildly concerned about what is happening in the world around you, then whoa, here come the snowballs- Internet spam, TV ads, infomercials, news programs, magazines, radio segments, billboards, junk mail, bestsellers, and airplane banners bombard, no stones left unturned.

But then nothing is permanent in this world except change, and when the latest diet has had enough takers, (read that as gullible if you may) and the discoverers (or inventors) of the diet have made enough money, then ding-dong, it is ring out the old, bring in the new. There is always an improvement; there is always some new research that has been done, and then the catch line is something new, something refreshingly different. Oh, you think that the research we mentioned was about how to actually lose weight, wrong you are, all the research that goes on as far as these ‘diet makers’ go, is how to market the latest diet and how to convince the consumer that this thing is better than the last. So there you have it, it’s a whole new story this time and the end results are even more promising than the last. A typical story of old wine in the new bottle, huh?

Well, that’s precisely what these fad diets are all about. And then when you think that you have tried it all, when you are on the brink of despair, here comes the panacea, the only thing that is guaranteed to reduce those few pounds or you get your money back, and since it is a money back offer, you reason that you have nothing else to lose and there you are going on the same merry-go-round-again.
