Six Years

Six years on not knowing who I was
Lived in uncertainty
Cried through the days
And forgot how to pray

Six years of depression
Created deep inside
Started to lose myself
As the days went by

Had no care in the world
Since I lost you
Didn’t care if I lived
Didn’t care at all

Lost so much of everything
Lost who your brother and sister were
Lost who you dad was as well
Little did I know he was losing himself as well

I consumed myself in nothing
And gained nothing in return
I lost the hope of wondering how things should have been
Lost so much
That nothing can be returned

Six years
That I can not say Good-bye

Six years have gone by
That my heart still cries
Just to hold you one more time
