Methods of Hair Removal
Many people remove hair from their bodies for sexual, cultural, aesthetic reasons. A bodybuilder preparing for a contest also knows the importance of hair removal, but does he know the common methods used in doing so? This article is going to discuss the three different methods used in removing hair from your body, which will give you the knowledge needed to look your best on stage.
Shaving is your own personal choice and has been the most common method of hair removal for years. Shaving everyday, only to have to shave again the following day is a nuisance all in itself. However, shaving is the cheapest method, and is not all that difficult if one uses shaving cream. That brings us to the topic of dry shaving. Dry shaving should be avoided at all costs because of the simple fact that it can lead to razor burn. Not something you want to have when competing on stage.
Another common method of hair removal is waxing. When you wax, cold or warm water is applied to each hair on the skin. The wax is then stripped off to remove hair from the skin’s roots. The results from waxing can last up to eight weeks and is the best method for long-term results. You also need to avoid showering prior to applying the wax because hair absorbs the water making it less likely to stick to the wax.
Sprays and creams can also be applied if shaving and waxing doesn’t appeal to you. Before you use one of these products, make sure that you apply a small patch onto the surface of your skin to see how well the chemicals react to it. If there are no signs of irritation, then feel free to apply it to areas of the body where hair removal is needed. Three great products that I highly recommend are Bodybuilding.com’s top three sellers:
1) Hair No More Advanced Hair Vanishing Creme
2) Hair No More Advanced Hair Inhibitor 2 Step System
3) Hair No More Advanced Hair Inhibitor Spray
These methods are great alternatives to the expensive laser hair removal that some of the pros use prior to a contest. Most of us, especially bodybuilders, are not made out of money and need to find the cheapest alternatives possible. These methods do just that, and they also prevent you from looking like a gorilla on stage. Even if you just want to remove a little bit of body hair for looks, then these methods are very good. Until next time, later.
