Claudia Schiffer Weds

The ceremony took place in the English county of Suffolk in a church in the village of Shimpling. Reverend Ian Friars was the officiating pastor and since no "commoners" were allowed in, he was also the one to break the news. It was reported that Reverend Friars told the reporters gathered outside, "With Matthew and Claudia’s agreement, I can confirm that they married…this afternoon. The service was according to the rites of the Church of England…[and] reflected the couple’s faith and commitment to each other."

Reportedly, when Schiffer exited the church she was wrapped in blankets so no one could see her Valentino wedding gown causing onlookers to boo the bride. The couple reportedly swore anyone involved in the wedding to secrecy. This included the florist, the musicians and even the 300 guests. The reception was held at the couple’s newly purchased 16th century Tudor mansion. The guest list included model Naomi Campbell, Elton John, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie, Brad Pitt and German tennis ace Boris Becker.

Supermodel Schiffer has previously been engaged twice. She was engaged to magician David Copperfield for six years. The couple ended their relationship in 1999. It was reported that the following year, Schiffer became engaged to Tim Jeffries, a British business tycoon and art gallery owner. It was never confirmed that the couple was engaged and they called it quits without ever making it down the aisle. Guess the third times the charm.
