Jessica Simpson Slams Divorce Rumors

It was recently reported that singer Jessica Simpson had filed for divorce from her hubby Nick Lachey. The report was leaked onto the Internet yesterday and subsequently retracted approximately an hour later. Simpson was spitting mad and said, "It is completely false and we would sue them if they hadn’t taken it down." Simpson said of those spreading false rumors about her and Nick’s marriage, "Karma, baby!"

The status of the Simpson-Lachey marriage is a constant source of tabloid rumors. There have been numerous reports of turmoil in their marriage, cheating on both sides, and Lachey’s problems with an overbearing father-in-law. Poor Nick and Jessica spend most of their time defending their marriage. Simpson has been romantically linked most recently with her Dukes of Hazzard co-star Johnny Knoxville and there was a reported romantic tryst with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. Now sources say that Viva La Bam’s very own Bam Margera is denying reports he is dating the very married Simpson after his parents said on a radio talk show that Bam was the blonde beauty’s new boyfriend. Lachey, on the other hand, has been linked to pretty much any nameless beauty he comes in contact with.

Who knows what is really going on with their marriage? As we have learned, most Hollywood couples will deny, deny, deny that anything is wrong right up until the day they file for divorce. On a positive note, Simpson and Lachey recently purchased a luxury condo at the Palms Place in Las Vegas. The residential condominiums and spa will reportedly be completed in 2007. Simpson can be seen on the big screen in The Dukes of Hazzard and Lachey is working on his new reality show titled The Nick Lachey Project.
