Gwyneth Paltrow's Modeling Gig
Gwyneth Paltrow has been announced as the new face for Estée Lauder after signing a multiyear deal.

Gwyneth Paltrow put her career on the back burner after the birth of her daughter, Apple, but she is now slowly returning to the public eye. Paltrow recently signed a multiyear contract to be the new face of Estée Lauder. Said Paltrow, "Years ago, endorsing a product was considered something a movie actress shouldn’t do, but now having a contract is almost like a status symbol." Paltrow’s first campaign will be for the 10-year anniversary of the Pleasures fragrance. The campaign will be on television and in print around the holidays.
In a statement, Paltrow said, "I am very proud to be a part of such a fine company. Its roots have been deep in the culture of classic American beauty for decades, and I am honored to be associated with a brand as iconic as Estée Lauder." Paltrow said that the modeling gig allows her to spend time with Apple, who turned one on May 14. Paltrow said, "It allows me to be with my daughter, which is what I want to do until some fantastic movie role comes along and makes me change my mind." Despite putting her career on hold, Paltrow did have a minor role in the upcoming film Running With Scissors.
Over the course of their marriage, Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin have dealt with numerous tabloid tales of their impending break-up and marriage woes. The two have apparently weathered the storm and are even denying recent reports that they will soon be adding to their brood. Paltrow’s rep said, "She’s not pregnant." Not yet anyway…maybe Paltrow and Martin will be adding a little Peach or Kiwi to the family sometime in the future.
