Sources say that Holmes is "constantly in tears" since giving birth to baby daughter, Suri, last month and has been described as very "emotional and tired." Cruise's camp has slammed the rumors that she is suffering from post-partum depression. His publicist said, "Those reports are not true. Ms. Holmes is doing wonderfully." A friend of Holmes reportedly said, "Katie keeps it together in front of Tom, but when he's gone, she loses it." The source also went on to say that the former Dawson's Creek star is "unhappy with her body and unsettled in her new life."
Maybe now she is just waking up from her seemingly permanent fog since she began dating Cruise and is just now realizing what her life has become. Hopefully, for her sake, Holmes is not suffering from post-partum depression because her hubby-to-be made it quite clear last year how he felt about antidepressants. Cruise went on a huge tirade and publicly slammed actress Brooke Shields when she admitted last year that she used antidepressants to battle the "baby blues" after the birth of her daughter Rowan in 2003. Cruise believes that vitamins are the key to treating the blues and does not believe in antidepressants. His comments led to a battle of words between Cruise and Shields.
In an ironic twist of fate, Shields gave birth to her second daughter on the same day as and just down the hall from Holmes. Reportedly, Cruise sent Shields a huge bouquet of flowers to congratulate her on the birth of daughter Grier. A source close to Cruise said, "Tom is ready to bury the hatchet. Katie and Brooke gave birth on the same day and that bond really touched Tom." As for Holmes, it has been reported that Cruise has put her on a very strict diet and fitness plan to get her body back into shape for their upcoming nuptials. The two are reportedly set to tie the knot this summer and apparently Cruise wants his bride-to-be looking her fittest.
