James Gandolfini Moves Girlfriend In

It has been reported that "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini has moved his new girlfriend, Lora Somoza, into his Greenwich Street apartment. Gandolfini, who split form his first wife Marcy earlier this year, met Somoza two years ago while filming "The Mexican." Somoza, who is in her mid-twenties, was an assistant to director Gore Verbinski at the time. Gandolfini and Somoza became "very close" on location and kept a friendship for two years. Sources say, she even visited him on the set of "The Last Castle."

When Gandolfini and wife Marcy first separated earlier this year, Somoza avoided the media by "hiding out" with her family in Hawaii. Marcy’s camp has been angered by the fact that two months after serving Marcy with divorce papers, Gandolfini moved Somoza in with him. Gandolfini claims the decision to leave his wife had nothing to do with another women. A friend of Marcy’s is quoted as saying, "He bought this 3,000-square-foot apartment on Greenwich Street several months before he left Marcy and told her it was for his production company. Then he ditches her and moves this other woman in! It’s all just so seedy and premeditated."

Despite the rumors that Gandolfini and Somoza are "shacking up," the word from Gandolfini’s camp is that although Somoza may be in New York, she is not living with Gandolfini. A source has said, "She’s there all the time and frequently walks her chocolate Labrador retriever." This may be an indication that the divorce is going to get messy. It has been reported that Gandolfini is now on his third divorce lawyer and is also refusing to hand over any of his financial statements.
