Justified

Is Justin Timberlake qualified to be a sideline reporter for TNT? Jim Rome says no, I say yes!
"Justified" is not only the title of Justin Timberlake's (Note: Justin will be referred to as J-Tim in the proceeding passages) first solo album, but the title also applies to him being a sideline reporter for the NBA on TNT.

I believe he is qualified, but others seem to doubt the talent that J-Tim possesses.

It is almost asinine to defend the talent of someone who was part of a group whose album "No Strings Attached" sold the most copies in the history of music, but it seems that no one gives J-Tim respect.

He is the Rodney Dangerfield of my generation.

On numerous occasions I have defended the talent of J-Tim to anyone who doubts, and then along comes Jim Rome.

Many words come to mind when I think of Jim Rome, but most of them I can't write.(I wouldn't want to pull a Bob Ryan.)

I respect Rome because he has obviously worked hard to get where he is, but I don't respect many of his views.

Just when I thought he was relegated to obscurity on the Fox Sports Network, Rome gets a new show with EPSN. How do the Disney suits allow this to happen? This is the same guy who once got beat down on national television for calling Jim Everett, Chris Evert.

Rome was the guy in your high school who picked on people who were different or less gifted. Coming home from work one late night, I discovered that Rome's show "Rome is Burning" was on.

"Why not watch? Maybe he will get beat down again," I thought to myself.

Justin Timberlake happened to be one of the topics on the show. Rome spewed out mouthfuls of insults, including that J-Tim had fell off, and that he was not worthy of his new job for TNT.

Two problems that come from these comments" 1. How did J-Tim fall off? and 2. How is he not worthy?

J-Tim hasn't fallen off Romey! J-Tim's new album "Justified" is No. 35 on the Billboard Top 100, which is pretty good since the album has been on the charts for a half a year!

He has two singles on the Hot 100 Chart: "Rock Your Body" and "Cry Me a River."

Justin also will host the MTV Movie Awards with Stiffler (his real name doesn't matter) from the "American Pie" movies.

He has hardly "fallen off." J-Tim is definitely worthy of being on TV. He already has previous experience.

J-Tim was a member of the "Mickey Mouse Club," and has had numerous television and movie appearances.

Rome does have one valid point and that is that J-Tim doesn't have basketball experience. But, who is Rome to bring that point up? Rome doesn't have any sports experience either.

He came up in the sports entertainment world by using his politically incorrect views to make him a superstar. He is the Howard Stern of sports talk.

Rome's comments don't have any validity at all, and one could even say they were jealous comments. Think about it. J-Tim is more popular then Rome and more people know who J-Tim is.

To all of you out there who doubt the talents of J-Tim, you shouldn't.

The kid is talented, and he will do a good job for TNT.

Can you imagine the interviews? J-Tim going into full dance routine during interviews with boring players or coaches!

J-Tim also will bring a new demographic into the mix. Now the 10-15 year old kids (boys or girls) might watch the games just to see J-Tim, and in the midst of this, might actually become NBA basketball fans.

Nothing but good things will happen from having J-Tim on the sidelines.

People like Rome who doubt J-Tim must realize that having him on the sidelines is "Justified!"
