When I Was A Child

It’s practically all I can remember about my childhood which to this day haunts my dreams…
I miss my old life
When I once was
A happy child
My days were
Endless games and dreams

Now everything is different
I am not a happy child
Rather a sad teenager
With a screwed up life
I will never be happy again

I go to sleep wishing
Wishing that I won’t awake
Wishing these scars would
Stop appearing.

I’m running out of time
Before I finally die
This is your fault dad
You made me this way
You turned me like this
With all your abuse

People never saw it
But I always have
No one heard my screams
Or my cries for help
They just ignored me
Because I was a child.
