Nicole Richie Single Again?

Sources say that Nicole Richie and her on-again-off-again boyfriend Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein have called it quits again.

It has been reported that Goldstein is the one who wanted out of the relationship. Said a source close to the couple, "Adam basically dumped Nicole. He wanted out for a couple of weeks." Richie’s rep has claimed that the break-up reports are not true and there has been no official word from Goldstein’s camp on the subject. It has been rumored that Goldstein was out and about earlier this week and didn’t seem to be too concerned about the alleged break-up.

The couple began dating in early 2004 and became engaged in February 2005. They called off their wedding and went their separate ways in December 2005. It was reported at the time that Goldstein had been the one to call it quits on the romance. Richie allegedly entered into a romance with Steve-O from Jackass fame even though both camps said they were "just friends" and denied that there was any romantic aspect to their relationship. The relationship didn’t last very long and Goldstein and Richie reportedly got back together in late February even though she was not wearing her engagement ring.

Richie has blamed her excessive weight loss partially on her first break-up with Goldstein. She admitted in a recent interview that she was too thin and said, "I had a bad break-up, and it eats me up inside when I’m upset about something. I get really stressed out, and I do lose my appetite." Not that she can really afford to lose her appetite again, Richie is ridiculously thin and really needs to gain some weight. If there was a break-up, hopefully there is someone that Richie can lean on for support and someone that can make sure that she eats and tries to remain as healthy as possible.
