Tears & Blood Chapter One

Lara doesn’t know that vampires are real. She just likes to write their stories. But when a vampiric stalker targets her, she is dragged into the world of darkness and tossed around.
Tears & Blood Chapter One
This damned boot camp was bad, and I hated it. My mother had sent me off because she said my attitude needed to change. I think I am the only gothic person in this prison, which didn’t make me anymore comfortable then I already was.

This prep school was harsh, and I hated everyone in it. Nothing was worth my time and I hated all my classes. The teachers were horrible, so I paid no attention or respect to any of them. All of them were ass-holes in my eyes.

Not that it mattered anyway. The only good thing about this dump, is that is had high-speed internet in every room. I spent almost all of my time online anyway, putting up my story chapters on my web page.

I started writing my stories when I was in 6th grade. My friends also had a passion for writing as well. That’s how I met them, by writing.

Writing was my whole life; I lived for writing and writing lived for me. I didn’t want a man in my life, not that I didn’t like guys or anything, it’s just that I didn’t have time.

I had had many obsessions in my life, starting with Legolas from Lord of the Rings, to my newest one, Hayden Christensen from Star Wars and Life as a House. Although, I did love Lestat, a vampire in a series of books written by Annie Rice. I absolutely loved her books, and I would always make time to read them.

My floor was covered with so many different types of vampire books ranging from Shattered Mirror by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, which I stole from my middle school library when I was 14 because I was so obsessed about the book, to I Thirst for You by Susan Sizemore. I loved those authors as well.

But I did have some other book that didn’t relate to vampires at all, like Laurie Faria Stolarz’s series Blue is for Nightmares. The series consisted of four books so far; Blue is for Nightmares, White is for Magic, Silver is for secrets, and Red is for Remembrance.

All types of CD’s littered my floor, like Cradle of Filth and HIM. ‘I really need to clean this room.’ I thought to myself. Turning off my huge 5 disc stereo system, I slammed the door, walking to my first class as I heard the bell ring to signal that class had started.

"Late again, Miss. Hoffman." Said Mr. Johnson, as I entered the room. "That means a detention." "Yeah," I said, "like the last one you gave me, that I didn’t show up for." I loved taunting the teachers here, because they were so easy. I sat down in my seat in the back of the room, and stared at the teacher. "Ah, who am I kidding, right Miss. Hoffman? You won’t show up."

"Damn straight." I said out loud. Mr. Johnson looked at me with total hatred in his eyes, which were aimed at me. He hated it when I swore in his class. Hell, I didn’t care though, I was determined to make the teacher’s lives a total and complete hell.

"Hey, Lara, are you late because you were doing some spell?" said Tony, tapping me on the shoulder, as he spoke. "Yeah, I was a death spell, so if you die, you’ll know why." I retorted back.

Tony Smith, how do I begin to describe him? We met in the 5th grade, and he was making fun of me because of my hair. I had just had it cut, and it was not the way I wanted it to be. Of course, it was my mother’s choice at the time. I ended up kicking him in the nuts in the end, which made me feel a lot better when I saw him fall to his knees, with his hands over his private parts. Then I guess we turned into major rivals, both of us wanting to piss off the other. We have never seen eye to eye before, and I don’t think we ever will.
