The Lake Show is not used to having all this extra time. So, what will they do now? Golf? Does anyone know? I think I do.
Here is what some of the displaced champs will be up to during their unusually long summer break.
Kobe Bryant: Kobe will go back to school after graduating high school in 1997. He will be taking one class: CRY008 -- "Advanced Topics in Contesting Calls." Instructor: M. Jordan.
Shaquille O'Neal: Shaq will begin production of his brand new feature film: Kazaam II -- The Genie That Can't Make Acting Talent Appear.
Robert Horry: Horry will be starring in Bad Boys 2 next to Martin Lawrence. It premieres July 18th.
Mark Madsen: Mad Dog will be taking dance lessons from MC Hammer and finishing his Ph.D. at Stanford in which his thesis topic is "Inept Reserve Centers and Their Ability to Get Made Fun Of."
Rick Fox: Fox will stare at himself in the mirror until training camp in October, looking for imperfections, while letting spouse Vanessa Williams do everything for him.
Derek Fisher: Derek will cement his role as the "greatest left-handed spot-up shooting guard who won three championships while playing for the Lakers who ever lived."
Brian Shaw: See Derek Fisher except change left-handed to right-handed.
Kareem Rush and Samaki Walker: Actually, they get to play some basketball after backing up Shaq and Kobe during the season.
Phil Jackson: The Zen Master will go deep into meditation and wonder how in the world he is shagging a former playboy playmate, and trying to figure out how he can get Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen and MJ to play for him next year.
