The Same~Old~Same~Old

Getting out of that routine of deceit and hurt... but falling back in again!
One more chance slips away,
Another night ends calmly,
See the rest in seven days,
When I'll wave goodbye to sanity,
For yet another night with you,
Bound to end with something new,
That's exactly the same as everything else,

The nights grow warmer and
The sun gets brighter,
Opportunities rise and fall,
I become a weaker fighter,
And soon I can't nudge your kiss away,
I'll just let it fall to my lips some day,
But it will be the same as every other kiss,

Sit with me
In a lone ray of dim light,
Try comfort me
And hold me tight,
The temptation was impossible to bare,
And when you ran fingers through my hair,
Like a comb of skin, it became something else...

And I fell back into one last kiss,
Placed upon a mouth I can't ever resist...
