Charlie Sheen & Denise Richards Settle Temporarily

Estranged couple Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have come to a temporary agreement in their ongoing custody battle.

Lawyers for Sheen and Richards met in Los Angeles County Superior Court Friday and agreed to extend a restraining order that was obtained by Richards against Sheen. Sheen is still ordered to remain 300 feet or more from Richards and is only able to have supervised visitations with their daughters Sam, 2, and Lola, 11 months. The restraining order was about to expire and they agreed to the extension while a psychologist determines the best custody arrangement for the family. The extension ends on July 13.

Sheen and Richards married in 2002 and seemed to have a relatively happy marriage until Richards abruptly filed for divorce while six-months pregnant with the couple’s second daughter. There were all kinds of rumors as to why the couple split. Sheen blamed himself but denied reports that he had cheated on his wife or slipped back into his bad habits of drinking, drugging, and gambling. Richards remained mum on the subject and the couple even tried, unsuccessfully, to reconcile.

Just last month, Richards filed a seventeen page court document alleging that Sheen physically abused her, threatened her and her parents lives, visited porn sites that featured what appeared to be underage girls, and frequented call girls. Sheen has categorically denied all charges. The two are locked in a bitter battle that has reportedly ended Richards' friendship with best friend Heather Locklear and led to Richards romance with Locklear’s ex Richie Sambora. Some sources say that Richards is fabricating these lies in a smear campaign against Sheen, others are in Richards camp and think Sheen is a monster… it is basically a game of he said, she said.
