Sources close to The Simple Life 2 set say that best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have reportedly ended their friendship.
Maybe the "simple life" isn't that simple. Sources say that former best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have ended their friendship due to increasing hostility over their "simple life." Sources say that their friendship is on the rocks following a number of arguments the debutants have had during the taping of their "reality" series The Simple Life 2. The two have reportedly had such knock-down-drag-out fights that they are no longer speaking.
The two rich kids caused a stir when their hit reality show The Simple Life premiered. The show featured the spoiled brats leaving behind all the comforts of home to go live on a farm and earn their keep. The show was a surprise hit and launched the two to A-List status. The second installment of The Simple Life is set to air on June 16. This go round Hilton and Richie will go on a road trip across country for a 30-day adventure. They will have to leave their cell phones, credit cards and cash behind and will have to "earn what they spend."
Sources close to the set say that the editors of the show will have to do "a lot of crafty editing" to make it look like Hilton and Richie were best friends during the taping. Fame seems to have driven a wedge between the two. A source says, "They were constantly at each others throats. There was a lot of time when they just weren't speaking." A spokesperson for FOX says that there will be no editing done to alter the truth and says, "The show is completely authentic." Authentic? Yeah right!
