Mary-Kate Olsen Shrinks
Mary-Kate Olsen has lost so much weight that she is now being accused of having an eating disorder.
Sources say that Mary-Kate Olsen is so intent on distinguishing herself from twin Ashley that, not only did she ditch her blonde mane for a darker hue, she has substantially reduced her weight. In the past few months, there has been much speculation about Mary-Kate Olsen and her incredibly shrinking frame. Sources close to the twins say that the pressure of growing up is taking its toll on Mary-Kate. The twins will be turning 18 next month and heading off to New York University. Not to mention that on their 18th birthday, they will take control of their $1 billion-grossing company Dualstar Entertainment. That is a bit of pressure.
In recent months, MK’s weight loss has become a cause of concern for those that know her. She and sister Ashley were awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame late last month and her appearance reportedly "raised a few eyebrows." At the premier of their fist non-kiddie film New York Minute, photographers were asked not to photograph the twins from behind. Both twins are very small, but MK’s ribs and spine are now showing through her skin. Not too much has been mentioned about Ashley’s weight, but sources say that neither twin eats much. At a recent Hollywood function, a source said MK and Ashley barely touched their food. "They both played with the food on their plates, moving the food from side to side," the source says. "And Mary-Kate looked like nothing but skin and bones."
Others close to the girls call reports of any eating disorders "nonsense." New York Minute director Dennie Gordon says, "The rumors are crazy. Mary-Kate and Ashley are naturally small. I have to tell you they love to eat!" Pictures would indicate otherwise. The twins are reportedly upset by the rumors, but claim that they can lean on each other. If they aren’t careful there won’t be much to lean on.
