Eternal Hope
The dove refers to the hope of nations, my hope, the hope that is in us all.
The clock strikes,
At half past dead.
So many memories,
Passing through my head.
I've lost and gained,
And then lost some more.
I left my mark on this world,
My handprints on the door.
True happiness I never found.
Though I've looked and searched.
Nothing ever pleased me more,
Than the dove sitting upon its perch.
At half past dead.
So many memories,
Passing through my head.
I've lost and gained,
And then lost some more.
I left my mark on this world,
My handprints on the door.
True happiness I never found.
Though I've looked and searched.
Nothing ever pleased me more,
Than the dove sitting upon its perch.
