Richie Sambora Slams Cheating Rumors

Sambora recently said, "I will do anything to enable all of us to move past off of this. I remained faithful during my marriage. And I defy anyone to refute that." Rumors that he cheated on Locklear while they were still married began dogging the rocker after he was spotted in a lip lock with Richards a mere four months after Locklear filed for divorce. It was rumored that the reason Locklear called it quits on her marriage is that she found revealing photos and steamy emails from a close friend of the couples. Originally thought to be Sambora’s former assistant, the rumors began circulating that it was Richards after it was confirmed they were dating.

Sambora claims he did not begin a romantic relationship with Richards until after he and Locklear separated. Said Sambora’s rep, "His family is his No. 1 priority. Richie is the greatest guy, and he wouldn’t do anything to hurt anyone close to him." As for Locklear, she is reportedly dating comedian David Spade. There has been a lot of talk that the two were seeing each other before she filed for divorce from Sambora, but who really knows?

Both Sambora and Richards are going through a divorce and sources say that is what drew them together. Sambora and Locklear are currently going through a divorce after 11 years of marriage. Richards is embroiled in a bitter divorce from her husband Charlie Sheen. The two split after almost three years of marriage in March 2005. Richards was six-months pregnant with the couple’s second child at the time she filed papers. They have tried reconciling, but now things have turned nasty. The couple has two daughters – Sam, 2, and Lola, 9 months.
