Renee Zellweger & Kenny Chesney Get Married

Zellweger’s publicist, Nanci Ryder, confirmed that the Cold Mountain actress and the country crooner exchanged vows Monday in the Virgin Islands. According to Ryder, the nuptials took place in front of "close family and friends in St. John." Reportedly, Zellweger, 36, wore a Caroline Herrera dress and Chesney, 37, was barefoot for the ceremony. The reception took place after the "I do’s" in the gated community of Peter Bay on the north side of the island at Chesney’s pad. The couple reportedly broke the news of the wedding to shocked family and friends Sunday at Chesney’s favorite restaurant, Rhumb Lines, where they then had a very low-key rehearsal dinner.

Zellweger and Chesney began dating in January after meeting at the Concert of Hope tsunami relief benefit. At his April 29 concert in Jacksonville, Florida Zellweger served Chesney a margarita on stage, and last week the couple was spotted canoodling at a restaurant near Nashville. This is the first marriage for both.

Zellweger was engaged to funnyman Jim Carrey in 2000. After their split she dated a number of musicians including Jack White of The White Strips and most recently Irish singer Damien Rice. Chesney was once engaged to Mandy Weals, but the relationship deteriorated in 1998 after they called off their upcoming nuptials. It has been reported that Chesney has said in the past his favorite actress was Zellweger and he even wrote his hit song "You Had Me From Hello" after her infamous line in Jerry Maguire. Hopefully their whirlwind romance can go the distance, but no offense, I’d wait to send to send a gift.
