Britney Spears Confirms Pregnancy

Spears was in New York promoting a new perfume in her fragrance line. She had her rep contact the show and, according to a Late Show staffer "said (Britney) wanted to be on the show and this was what she’s announce." The staffer said, "We were psyched." Spears walked onstage unannounced and read the Top Ten List for the evening. She joked with Letterman saying, "Don’t worry, Dave, it’s not yours." He bantered back, "Oh. Well, I think that’s good news for both of us." She did not mention hubby Kevin Federline or when she was expected to deliver her second child.

Earlier in the show Letterman and bandleader Paul Shaffer joked about Federline. Shaffer said of rumors that Spears is expecting, "I think that K-Fed is, you know, would have to be getting awful busy at a quick rate." Letterman responded, "Well, what else does he have to do?" When Spears showed up a little later in the show she commented on the exchange between Letterman and Shaffer by saying, "I liked the whole prep. It was cool, I think you did a very good job." Letterman asked, "So, we’ve established now that you are, in fact, pregnant, is that right?" To which Spears replied, "Yes, sir."

This is the second child for Spears and hubby Federline. Son Sean Preston is eight months old. K-Fed has two kids with his ex Shar Jackson. Daughter Kori is 3 and son Kaleb is 21-months. As far as living blissfully it seems that Spears and Federline are far from it. Sources say Spears has been on an "emotional roller coaster" since learning that she is pregnant with her second child. Said a source close to her, "Her plan was to take control back and get him out. All she wanted was her life back and to be Britney Spears again, not a 24-year old unhappy mom of two still married to a loser."
