Cameron Diaz & Jared Leto Split

Unlike some Hollywood couples, Diaz and Leto kept their relationship out of the public eye. Sometimes so far removed from the spotlight that there was question as to whether or not they were actually a couple. There has been no official word on why Diaz decided to end the relationship, but plenty of speculation. Some say that Leto had become increasingly jealous of Diaz’s ever growing career and paycheck. Others say they were ill-suited and they grew apart, with her more focused on her acting career while he was more concerned with his band 30 Seconds to Mars.

Whatever the case may be, the couple has reportedly been on the outs for quite some time despite rumors of an engagement. In January, Diaz was seen sporting two accessories, Leto and a diamond ring at Miramax’s Golden Globes party. Now, there is a different tune surrounding the relationship. Sources close to the couple say that Leto was not nice to Diaz and that they did very few things as a couple. Apparently, Leto never visited the set of Diaz’s latest film Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and she was always attending the crew parties alone.

They fared pretty well in "Hollywood-land," considering that they lasted two years together. Diaz was once quoted as saying, "Hollywood marriages are notoriously short-term. I don’t want to be another statistic." It seems as if she has a good sense about herself. Rather than jumping into a marriage that she knows probably won’t work, it is refreshing to see a celebrity thinking before acting on impulse.
