Will & Grace Star Arrested

Security guards nabbed Morrison, 66, after she was allegedly shoplifting at the Robinson-May store at the Westside Pavilion Mall. She faces a felony theft charge. Morrison was booked in the Van Nuys jail, and spent 90 minutes behind bars before being released on $20,000 bail. Morrison was booked under the name Rachel Dominguez. She was born Rachel Mitrani, and is married to writer Walter Dominguez.

No comment from Morrison’s camp, but her attorney did say the actress "intends to mount a vigorous defense." Donald Etra, Morrison’s attorney, said, "It is our understanding that the charges have been reduced to a misdemeanor, but until the city attorney reviews it more carefully, we are unable to comment further." No word yet on what Morrison allegedly lifted, but she is set to be arraigned on May 14.

Helllooo?! Winona Ryder anyone? Morrison couldn’t have missed that one in the news. Ok, ok, innocent until proven guilty, but the question remains – if- Morrison did give herself a five-finger discount – why? Boredom? Excitement? Lack of anything better to do? Or do celebrities think they are above the law and can help themselves to whatever they want? On the flip side, the general public places celebrities on a pedestal and expects them to be better than most - but come on they’re only human. Even the great ones falter in life and – admit it – there is just a bit of everyone that eats up juicy gossip and wants to see the great ones at their not so greatest.
