Tawny Kitaen Arrested

Actor Tawny Kitaen, best known for her role in the 1984 Tom Hanks film Bachelor Party, was arrested last Monday for spousal abuse after allegedly kicking her husband, Cleveland Indians pitcher Chuck Finley, with her high heels. Kitaen spent 48 hours in an Orange County, California jail after her arrest and faces two misdemeanor counts of spousal abuse and battery. She was released on her own recognizance. Kitaen’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for April 29.

Officials reported that while Finley (who is 6-foot-6 and 225-pounds) was driving the couple home from dinner, Kitaen (5-foot-7 and 145 pounds) kicked Finley with her pumps, gouging him in the arm, leg and thigh. Officials also allege that Kitaen twisted Finley’s ear as he was driving, as well as putting her high-heeled foot on top of Finley’s "gas-peddle-depressing-foot" while he was still driving. Once they returned home, the police were summoned by an unknown caller and at that time it was determined Kitaen "was the aggressor, and she was taken into custody." This marks Kitaen’s second arrest in less than six months. As reported in the Orange County Register, she was arrested December 13 for allegedly keying a car in Newport Beach. An April 18 court date is scheduled.

Kitaen, 40, and Finley, 39, have been a couple since the early 90’s and were married in 1997. She was formerly married to Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale from 1989-1991, starring in the band’s notorious videos of her gyrating and writhing on the front of cars. After a short stint on America’s Funniest People from 1992-1994, she hasn’t been seen much. Now she is starring in two court appearances.
