The Follower

A relationship between brothers and a Father
Take a look in my eyes and see what I see
I see myself a immature child and caring only of myself
I see a young little boy just the following me
I never knew being the oldest held so much
The future of your life is in my hands
You look up to me and I continue to push you away
Now I want you to realize I am here to stay
It’s my job to set the example
I hold the power to open your horizon
You may not agree but you are my shadow little brother
I know the truth of your misery
You never forgave the father who helped birth us
Y’all was close before the break-up with no return
When he did return you pushed him away
I was the only older male around for you to up to
As I grew older our relationship weakened
It’s on me to strengthen the relationship between you and your father
Take a look in my eyes and see what I see
I see myself maturing ready to take the world by surprise
Finally I realized God sent me here to help you
Everything I do will affect you in some type of way
I have to be sure to be positive
For right now I am the father figure in your life
Take a look in my eyes and see what I see
I am the leader so just follow me
