Eulogy to Strider
This was written the day our Maine Coon cat had to be given mercy at the old age of 17. She was like a child to us. We miss her still.
Eulogy To Strider
We went looking for you today,
But you were nowhere to be found.
The house was vacant, all away.
There was no one out on the ground.
Where have you gone old friend of ours?
Your toys were scattered around.
Without you the sun does not shine.
Like a cataract, the tears fell.
They ran down our cheeks in a line.
Life without you will be just like hell.
We were a set, three of a kind.
Something to say, no one to tell.
Can we bring peace back to our minds?
How will we live what will we do?
We walk around like we are blind.
We say this and we say it true
You were our heart, our child, our kind
Angel unaware, Strider blue.
Now we are bereft, left behind.
