Bobby & Whitney’s Reality

Add tempestuous couple Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston the ever growing list of stars inviting the public into their private lives. Brown is currently shooting a new reality series starring none other than himself. Wife Whitney will have a supporting role on the show. Brown’s production company B2 Entertainment is behind the project and the cameras have already started rolling on the show. No word yet on what networks may have an interest in the as-yet untitled show.

Brown’s production company had been following him and his family around as they go about their day-to-day business in the Atlanta suburb where they reside. Houston’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, made it quite clear that this is Bobby’s project. "As I understand it, the reality show is about Bobby Brown. If she [Houston] can help her husband in any way, she of course will do so, but it’s about Bobby," Seltzer said.

What could Brown possibly hope to come of a reality show based on his life? Brown seems to be a troubled man who is having a hard time getting over his now defunct career. He is best known from the ‘80’s group New Edition and enjoyed a short-lived solo career with hits such as My Prerogative. Now he is better known for his lengthy arrest record. Drunken driving. Drugs. Battery. Violating his probation. Failure to pay child support. These are Bobby’s hits now. Why is it so hard for fallen stars to let go of their past? Move on, Bobby!
