ABC's The Bachelor 5
ABC gears up for their fifth installment of the hit reality show The Bachelor with pro-football player Jesse Palmer.
New York Giants quarterback Jesse Palmer has been chosen as this season's "bachelor." Twenty-five lucky women will vie for his affections as he weeds through the hopefuls to find his true love. Palmer has said that he is "extremely happy" with the outcome and he can't wait until the show wraps in May so he can publicly declare his love.
An interesting twist on this season is that there will be a spy in the girl's camp. One of Palmer's best friends from college will live with the twenty-four hopefuls and pose as one of them. What the other girls will not know is that the spy will tell Palmer everything. Palmer says, "She was my eyes when I wasn't around, and she knows exactly what I am looking for in a woman." The viewing audience will be introduced to the spy on episode two, but the other girls won't find out until later in the season.
The interesting thing is that not one of the bachelor pairings has resulted in a solid relationship, yet both bachelorette's have seemingly found true love. Could it be that may be the bachelor's aren't that serious about finding true love? Palmer's "journey" begins April 7 and no doubt millions of viewers will be glued to the set week after week to see whom Palmer chooses...and if it will last. Maybe he will be the first bachelor to prove that he is there for the right reasons and looking for his perfect match.
