Paula Abdul Abused

The report was filed with the Los Angeles Police Department and Abdul claims that she was assaulted early Sunday morning at a private party. Abdul said she was at a local club for a private party and at approximately 1 a.m. Abdul and a gentleman got into an altercation and he reportedly grabbed her arm and threw her against a wall. Abdul is reported to suffer from a neurological disorder and the assault has allegedly worsened her physical situation.

No reason has been given for the alleged assault and even though Abdul gave police the man’s name, police have yet to make an arrest or release his name until further investigation. Police Lieutenant Paul Vernon said of Abdul, "She said she had sustained a concussion and spinal injuries." Vernon also stated that Abdul was seeking her own medical treatment, but offered to have her injuries photographed. Reportedly she has not set a time to get these photos taken.

The incident reportedly occurred at the Hollywood club Xenii. Allegedly Abdul’s companion, Dante Spencer, was injured during the attack and received stitches. Abdul’s publicist, Michelle Bega, did not release a statement on the alleged attack. Abdul recently renewed her contract with American Idol for another three years. It was recently reported that she was on the verge of getting the boot because her behavior was so erratic. Apparently, the producers had a change of heart and opted to keep the Straight Up singer around…for now anyway! If the rumors are to be believed she is walking a fine line!
