Eminem vs. Wife

It was announced that rapper Eminem filed for divorce on April 5, a day later his estranged wife Kim called a Detroit radio station to give her version of what went wrong with their marriage. She claimed during the radio interview that the trouble started even before they said "I do" for the second time. "He’s having problems with, you know, his problem that he had," she said obviously alluding to his addiction to sleeping pills. A problem that Eminem entered rehab last summer to overcome.

Kim continued, "Right after he came home from rehab, we started to have a few problems and I thought it would be in our best interest to delay the wedding. But he really pushed it and I thought it was going to be something that worked this time." Apparently not. Reportedly after their wedding the two did not see or speak for six-weeks, yet Kim said the divorce filing was "surprise." She also she felt he was still using drugs of some sort and said, "I hope, in his best interest, that he does return to rehab."

Just a day after her call in radio interview, Eminem released a statement that read, "A few of Kim’s statements in a radio interview need to be addressed. First, her allegations regarding my status post-rehab are both untrue and unfortunate. Second, she was aware that I was filing for divorce. We both tried to give our marriage another chance and quickly realized that a wedding doesn’t fix the underlying problems." The divorce filing comes a mere three months after the couple tied the knot for the second time. The high school sweethearts were first married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. They reconciled in 2005 and tied the knot again on January 14. The couple has a ten-year old daughter named Hailie Jade. Hopefully this couple never heard the term "three times the charm!"
