Field Of Blood

Let Us Not Forget the True Meaning of Easter
With thirty pieces of silver, and blood from His wounded side
The potter’s field was purchased at the time my Saviour died
He cried out "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do
And with these words redemption came for sinners like me and you.

Three days and nights in the heart of the earth, the victory is won
And God’s Kingdom in Heaven awaits through the righteousness of His Son
Lift up your eyes to Jesus, trust Him and obey
For taking our sins to the cross, was the price He had to pay.

The potter’s field - to bury strangers, was never more the same
For The Field of Blood - the price of Him, is what became it’s name.
So when we think that we’re just strangers in what we do each day
Remember why the Potter died, and that we are His clay.
