Understanding Women through their Hormones: The toughest thing in the world

It sure gives me a frightful headache when I think I have reacted in the wrong manner! I guess I conveniently blame it on my Hormones, after my genes of course!
Hormone Imbalance:

Men often wonder with profound amazement the reason for women to react in a particular manner! For instance, a man would, when approaching his house automatically, (by force of habit) move about his hands in his pocket hunting for his pair of keys. Women generally get to the door, hunt for their keys in the bag, start to perspire, remove their handkerchief, wipe themselves dry and then proceed with their hunt in their handbags. Same is the case when they step out of the car. A man would probably move about smartening his shirt that’s so prolifically resting on his beer belly, ruffle his fingers through his hair, put on his glares and then move out of his car! Women spend most of the time looking up their made up faces, as an unkempt face would usually give them a bigger complex, look themselves in the rear mirror probably a zillion times, before they even think of stepping out of their cars.

As a general rule, women tend to react in the manner that they do, thanks to their hormones. She’s generally very cranky, suddenly upset, or has this sudden need to gorge on chocolates once she approaches the most horrible period of her menstrual cycle. They suddenly become incomprehensible, dull, or even lost during this time. Most men find it hard to imagine as to what might have suddenly gone wrong to what seemed like a perfectly new setting on a paradise on earth! Nine times out of ten, doctors blame this to be a case of an imbalance of hormones. And if the lady in concern turns out to be a thyroid patient like I am, then God help the guy! And give him sense too…To perform the balancing act!!

The balancing act!

Women tend to put themselves in so many shoes throughout their life time that its difficult to nail and point out one definite role that she might place during the time span that she is allotted in life. Men tend to carve their definitions and do away with our ‘hormonal disturbances’ as excuses for not conforming to our duties! There are very few grey cells within their heads to understand women through her hormonal perspectives! Add to that the age factor and her whole world if not practiced at every point of time, seems to shake her being! Whatever do I mean! Well for starters, we are usually an emotional lot of people with little or no real hard feelings towards anybody in general. We suffer pains in their various forms, not realizing that men on the other hand, despite understanding actually make us believe that these are forms of excuses for not being perfect.

Our Estrogen levels indicate our very beings. Its one thing to say that you have a headache and it’s yet another thing to make people understand that PMS is one factor that brings in all irritabilities in all its glory. Basking in our self proclaimed strengthening act, its quite compelling to avoid decent conversations especially when you have a hundred chores to handle with another zillion number of people hovering over you in a painful situations.

Women, as a bunch of human species are hard to forget, simply because they attach each emotion to their judgmental beings. Their emotions run so high that despite the argument, a selfless wife will still understand the torture a man goes through in being the breadwinner. She feels his testosterone levels, breathes during the time when she mothers her children and understand that her levels of hormones only (thank god!!) allow her to mature faster with age. It’s the hormonal factor everywhere, if she’s angry, then it’s on her hormones, if she has mood swings, then it’s the same, even if she’s not interested in indulging in ‘you know what’, it simply is thanks to her hormones! Women are that simple really!! Pity it takes an eternity for a man to understand that!
