Sex and the City: Episodes of Sex and the City Cut Back

HBO decreased the number of Sex and the City episodes this season from thirteen to eight after it was announced Sarah Jessica Parker is pregnant. Production was halted after shooting just two episodes while the producers decided whether or not to incorporate Parker’s pregnancy into the show. Ultimately, they decided not to include her pregnancy in the show. Production will resume on May 6. As reported on Eonline.com, an HBO spokeswoman says the show’s fifth-season, originally slated to debut in June, is expected to premier sometime in July.

Parker’s pregnancy comes in the wake of rumors and speculation that Parker and Broderick were on the "outs." The rumors began circulating when Parker didn’t thank Broderick during her acceptance speech when she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy. Allegedly, she was seen cozying up to her Sex and the City co-star, John Corbett, on a number of different occasions. It was also reported that Broderick was seen on a few different occasions with an unnamed brunette.

Despite the rumors, it seems that Parker and Broderick have worked everything out. They recently celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary, are expecting their first child and both have successful careers. Parker is on a steady run with Sex and the City and Broderick just ended a successful run starring in The Producers on Broadway with Nathan Lane. Next up for Broderick is a starring role in the TV movie version of The Music Man. And the happy couple’s newest production is set to arrive in the fall.
