Creed frontman, Scott Stapp, was injured in a car accident when the car he was driving was struck by another vehicle. Karas told People.com, "The guys are very private people. They live for their fans and the reason I put the release out is because the dates have been cancelled and they wanted the fans to know why." It is expoected that the tour will resume mid-summer. Stapp, according to the release, "has been advised by medical professionals to make this regrettable but necessary decision as he recuperates."
Creed, whose members include Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti and drummer Scott Phillips, debuted in 1997 with "My Own Prison" which brought them fame and has sold over 6 million copies. "Human Clay" was their successful follow up and their third effort "Weathered" was released in 2001 debuting at number 1. As reported on People.com, "Weathered" sold more copies in its first week than any other rock release that year according to a biography by the band’s record label, Wind Up Entertainment.
