The Death of a Friend

This is dedicated to my "step-father" Wayne Prine who recently committed suicide....
The silence needs to be broken
I can’t believe you’re so mean
This pain has overtaken me
So I suddenly start to scream

I scream in hatred
And scream in pain
I still keep screaming on and on
Until I go insane

You died on a Sunday
And what a coincidence
Because you were the angel that helped me
When I wasn’t feeling my best

You were my very best friend
The wind beneath my wings
The hidden better side of me
That helped me fulfill my dreams

They say death is the toughest lost
Its one you cannot change
It comes around so sudden
Then leaves you there in pain
