Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen Heat Up

Richards has filed a restraining order against her estranged husband and in her court papers alleges that Sheen has been physically abusive, has threatened her life and that of her parents, and enjoys viewing gay and underage pornography. Sheen slams the accusations calling them "vile" and a "most obvious immature and transparent smear campaign designed to hurt, embarrass and ultimately extort" him. He also said for the sake of his children he will not "reciprocate in kind."

In Richards’ seventeen page court filing she described the alleged abuse, his reported drug and gambling addictions, and claims that he visited prostitutes during their marriage. The papers were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday. Richards released a statement Friday saying, "I am disappointed that the situation has deteriorated to the point that it has become necessary to seek the assistance of the court. However, my primary concern is and always has been the welfare of the children and this action today was to ensure their safety as well as mine."

Richards requested that Sheen’s visitations with 2 year old Sam and 10-month old Lola are monitored by a police officer and the children’s nanny or be suspended. A judge granted this petition and ordered Sheen to keep at least 300 feet away and that his visitations with his daughters would be monitored. The two were married in June 2002 and split almost three years later when Richards’ abruptly filed for divorce from Sheen while six-months pregnant with Lola. They tried to reconcile once, but it was reportedly a disaster. Now it is a huge game of he said, she said.
