The Slovene GEA College of Entrepreneurship is celebrating its Tenth Anniversary of its existence and 16th Anniversary of its executive training programs. GEA is growing and expanding. It is constantly developing and updating new programs, entering partnerships with educational and business institutions and companies in Europe, China, and Russia.

The GEA College of Entrepreneurship is the first private business school in Slovenia with the major in Entrepreneurship. It offers quality study programs at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Lecturers are experts in his/her field. It offers interactive methods of study, stimulation and support of extra-curriculum activities. It is an environment that helps to grow and manage that growth. Where opportunities are being offered and chances to pursue.

Ms. Katja Trop is the Executive Director for International Marketing at GEA and she tells me what is behind the move to the new location, to Ljubljana, the Slovene capital. Ms. Trop explains that GEA is becoming an international player. The number of international students and partners is on increase. And Ljubljana – as one of new vibrant European capitals, an University city in addition – is more appropriate as the seat for Gea activities. Ljubljana is also the seat of several dynamic and innovative companies in the region. But also the political, social and cultural centre of Slovenia. Living in Ljubljana is exciting and at the same time very safe.

Dr. Jordan Berginc is Associate Professor at GEA, and during 2005 Head of the Chair of Entrepreneurship & Innovation. And I put few questions to him and requested to reflect on the experience at GEA:
JB: During the Sixteen years of operation, we have been promoting entrepreneurship, culture and knowledge of different target groups. For example, start up’s, students, pupils, women, existing entrepreneurs and managers, consultants, trainers, as well in the non profit area. In addition, we organized several business events, among which the Enterprise Forum, Business Breakfast, national competition of the best business plan but also conferences, summer schools and business evenings.
