Vantressa Brown: A Baby Animal: Kidnapped and Murdered

"Just let them suffer; they don't deserve to live". If someone took a baby boy away from his mother when he was only 2 or 3 days old with the full intent of killing him in the near future, there would be outcries of anger from all over the world.
If someone took a baby boy away from his mother when he was only 2 or 3 days old with the full intent of killing him in the near future, there would be outcries of anger from all over the world. But guess what? This is exactly what happens to the innocent babies of Cows, and the world falls strangely silent. Why? Because we look upon animals as "objects and food" and not as living, feeling, breathing, companions whom God created and placed in our care.

I know what you are probably thinking; animals are destined for death and that’s what God made them for. But think about it, at one time women were meant to be house wives and not workers. Women were meant to submit and obey their husbands. So if men shouldn’t rule over women, then humans shouldn’t abuse, rule, beat, mistreat and torture innocent Animals.

Baby Cows, also known as Calves, are torn from their mother and are put in tiny wooden stalls all by themselves. They’re chained at the neck so they can’t turn around or move more than a step forward or backward. All they can do is stand up and lie down. This is done so that they don’t develop muscles so that their meat stays very tender. Twice a day they are given some liquid food. This food contains chemicals that will help the babies survive under these awful conditions. Except for feeding time, they are all alone. This is very hard on babies who are meant to be in a herd with their moms, aunts, cousins, etc. These babies never get to play or graze or feel the sunshine of their backs or be with their mothers. They spend their entire lives in the dark in little stalls until they’re big enough to be killed and turned into veal – usually around 16 weeks old (about 4 months).

Now please place yourself in the position of that mother Cow. Would you want your newborn baby to be taken away from you or snatched from you to be slaughtered or killed? These baby Calves have a desire to be with their mothers, but we have denied them what God has given them; a mother to hold, feed and love them. We even take their milk to feed on it ourselves; how selfish. And like us, the mother’s mourn for their children, but most of us turn a deaf eye.

What I don’t understand is how can someone kill a baby? It doesn’t matter if the baby is a human baby or animal baby. The fact is that it is a newborn baby and it’s a gift from God to the mother; not for human consumption.

A lot of people might disagree with this and say baby animals don’t have rights. How can you say this when I have seen a mother Cow grieve for her baby? The slaughterhouses overlook this and still let them suffer in agony.
