So I'm looking back,
22 years in Palm Springs,
1 was a party
17 years in a relationship
And only 4 years to get over it.
I remember moving here.
I was often mistaken for a lesbian (no offense ladies)
Maybe it was the flannel I was always seen wearing
Maybe it was just because I was hanging out in a gay bar
And it happens a few times "Hey sue" I'd hear in a deep voice"
"Sorry I'm not sue" and would turn around and add "lady"
"So Sorry, my mistake" was often heard
And I am thinking
"Great now there is a lesbian being mistaken for me!"
I'm not scared of anything- unless I don't understand it .
I may be gay but I still do not understand women-
even if they are gay women.
I don' think the sexes will ever see eye to eye-
But I think that's God's plan anyway
That way (s)he has something to watch all day
And that's why there is sex in my opinion
Sure it's fun- as long as no one is watching.
Just think of the faces you make-
Or the face you make when your parent say they had sex to have you
"EEEEEWWWWWW" is the invariable response
Well unless you family really is a loving family--
And now i realize there are some common threads amongst all relationships
(I hope to exploit this in my comedy)
1) all relationships end the same
"wooo-who, I'm single and that ass is gone
2) everyone- bi-straight-gay we all end up the same way
sleeping with an asshole
(damn I really need to work this one out)
Sure it is better to have loved and lost
that way you really can appreciate what you are missing
Then again- if I had to do it all over again- I would do it
If I had to do it all over again knowing what I know now-
Well, why should I cause I've already got it all figured out.
