Pete Doherty Arrested…Again

Seriously what is this guys problem? Mere hours after he is praised by Judge Jane McIvor for his progress and for "showing significant signs of compliance and effort" Doherty was arrested again for drug possession. Doherty and a 21-year old accomplice were arrested at approximately 2:10 p.m. Thursday afternoon on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply. No reason was given for the car being pulled over. A statement was released that read, "A 27-year old man and a 21-year old man were arrested after a vehicle was stopped by plain clothed officers who were carrying out a patrol in an unmarked police car. They were arrested on suspicion of possessing what was believed to be class A drugs with the intent to supply." Doherty, 27, was reportedly not driving.

Last month he pleaded guilty to charges of possessing class A drugs including heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, and morphine in two separate arrests that occurred on December 18 and January 14. On February 8 he was ordered to enter a drug rehabilitation program, to complete a year’s worth of community service, and was ordered to take mandatory drug tests monthly for one year. Yesterday he appeared in court and received two years probation, 18 months of rehab, and a suspended license for six-months. Seems like this guy can’t land in jail to save his life.

Yesterday in court Judge McIvor must have jinxed him when she pointed out the fact that he hadn’t been arrested in three whole months and *bam* three hours later he is handcuffed! Will this be the final straw or will he get another round of community service and a mandatory rehab stint? How can someone with so many offenses just skate by?
