How to choose the right phone and keep up with the times
I think it's time for me to get rid of my brick and get a phone that's more 2006
I've been in need of a new phone for a while - my phone is like a brick that I carry around in my handbag. I've seen a lot of good phones that my friends and workmates have, but I really didn’t know which phone would be the best for me. I want my phone to look cool and respectable; so that my friends and guys think its cool, but I also want a phone that does everything I want it to, without being too confusing.
I want a phone that has an alarm and a reminder on it - it is really useful to have a reminder function. My memory isn’t what it used to be, and I may think about something now that I have to do this evening, but without setting a reminder on my phone I'd most likely forget all about it. My phone also needs to use predictive text - I couldn’t live without that - but most phones have this nowadays I would presume. Two things that I've never had on my phone that I'd love to have are: a camera and an MP3 player. I'm so looking forward to having access to a camera everywhere I go, and to have my MP3 player built into my phone will be very beneficial too.
I've been meaning to call into a phone shop for a while, but I am just so busy that I can never seem to find the time. Then someone suggested that I looked online. I had never thought about shopping online before, and so this was novel for me. I was recommended to have a look at the Dialaphone website (http://www.dialaphone.co.uk ). I had a look here, and was quite impressed. This is a great site that's easy to navigate, and has nice pictures of the phones that you can buy. From here I found a Sony Ericsson phone that I wanted to get. I couldn’t believe the deals that were on offer - they were fantastic. I decided to have a look at the Sony Ericsson website (http://www.sonyericsson.com ) to see how much these phones are worth, without taking out a contract. The Sony Ericsson phones aren’t expensive, but it was amazing to see the savings that you make by taking out a contract with one of these phone choice websites.
So the phone I've now chosen to meet all of my needs is the Sony Ericsson W300i (http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pp1_loader&php=php1_10415&zone=pp&lm=pp1&pid=10415 ) - I'm so looking forward to playing with my new toy :)
