Blood and Rain

"On this earth with riches and you with stones..."
As I sit here talking to you
You tell me out of the blue
That if I go to California
You’ll leave me
And you’ll never be seen
Again
As I cry you don’t hold my hand
But slap it away
As I hold it out to you
In shame of being
Here
On this earth with riches
And you with stones
I only wish to be on the streets
With no belongings in hand
Waiting to die
In the rain
That wash away my tears
From the pain you caused
Within me
The pain that turned to roses
When you finally
Had a change of heart
And pulled me
From the blood I was drowning in.
