In The Line Of Fire

...I ask you not to scream...
I hear you talking to yourself, your voice is pale.
You're not alright.
But you can't hear how weak you really are.
This life could end tonight.
It's the sense you get when you think you're alone even though someone is watching you.
Well, I’m the one watching you, you're in the line of fire.
I’m going to set this all right.

Why do you expect it all?
Why do I come back for more, never to be satisfied?

You never thought you face would meet the floor.
You're in the line of fire.
I step up behind you, touch your hair and reach for your hands.
You look around only to see me.
You panic and breathe heavily.

I ask you not to scream but you yell out for help anyways.
Kicking and screaming gets you nowhere, so now it’s your time to go.

How could you expect it all?
Why do I come back for more?

I will only be satisfied the moment your body drags on the floor behind me.
