Paris Hilton's New Sidekick
Kimberly Stewart may replace Nicole Richie as Paris Hilton's sidekick on the next season of The Simple Life.

Nicole Richie - out, Kimberly Stewart -in? That is the latest rumor surrounding Paris Hilton and her "best friend" slot. Sources say that Hilton has kicked Richie to the curb and is now looking for a new partner in crime for the fourth season of The Simple Life. Hilton has been seen joined at the hip with Rod Stewart's wild child, Kimberly, prompting reports that she will replace Richie for the upcoming season. Hilton's rep said recently that there was no trouble in paradise and likened splitting Hilton and Richie up to splitting up Lucy and Ethel.
Hilton recently said, "It's my show. I've had it three seasons, and I just want to freshen it up - make it newer and funnier." Ohhh, funnier, huh?! Hilton said of Stewart that they have "known each other since we were in our mom's tummies...We just act like sisters...we have fun." Stewart said, "It's top secret. But you never know...we're in the works with something very special."
The newly engaged Richie is reportedly in talks to have her own show with fiancé Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, documenting their trip to the altar. Sources say that Richie is desperate to kiss and make up with Paris. As for the producers of The Simple Life, they released a statement saying they are "currently discussing internally the creative direction of the next season." They added, "We are huge fans of both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and look forward to solidifying our plans for the next installment of this fantastic franchise in the very near future."
