The Darkness

I wrote this poem because I normally spend my time alone or in the dark. Because the poem is in the dark ghost and death just seemed like they fit in with the subject.
I lie awake at night
Pitch black, nothing in site
Noises of the dark relax me
For in the dark you must listen
There is nothing to see
I lie still as a shiver runs up my spine
Thoughts of the night are all mine
Ghost comes for hauntings
Calling my name
They are all wishing to play
They wish me to join
Join the darkness of death
Be put to rest, take my last breath
I get up to feel the coldness surround me
Spirits surrounding me with darkness, filling with glee
I'm not afraid, I don't scream
Nothing is ever what it seems
I'm not ready to die I don't want to play
Now they come back every day
I lie awake
Listen to the sounds
I look and no one is around
They await for the day I come
Together with death and the darkness
We become one
