Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor Welcome a Girl

Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor welcomed a baby girl last week in Los Angeles, the couple’s publicist confirmed Monday. No other details, including the baby’s name, birth weight and actual birthdate were released. It has been reported that she was born last Wednesday. Mother and baby are said to be well.

Stiller and Taylor met in 1999 on the set of Heat, Vision and Jack, a TV pilot Stiller was developing for Fox. They began dating and he popped the question that November. They were married in May of 2000 in Hawaii on Kauai. This is the first marriage for both. Taylor’s best known for playing Marcia Brady in 1995’s The Brady Bunch Movie and the 1996 follow up A Very Brady Sequel. Stiller, the son of legendary actor Jerry Stiller and actress Anna Meara, made it big with Something About Mary. The couple recently co-starred in Zoolander, which Stiller also wrote and directed.

Besides parenthood, Stiller has a number of projects in the works. He was last seen in The Royal Tenenbaums and is currently filming Duplex, a dark comedy, with Drew Barrymore. The film is about a New York couple so desperate to get the other half of their "dream home" that they contemplate killing off the woman who lives next door. He is set to reunite with Robert DeNiro to start shooting on his new film, Meet the Fockers, the sequel to Meet the Parents, in 2002.
