Developing true friendship

It all started with a little hi
A response of hello and simple smile
Never thought that our first meeting
Makes a lot of sense and meaning

You were friendly by nature
And I’m your opposite for sure
I’m not interested in making friends
Unfriendly as people here may say

But still you went near me
Made friends with the unfriendly
You treated me so really nice
So I accepted you as anew pal

And as that friendship last longer
I’ve liked it better than ever
I feel like being the real me
Coz I know you’ll accept me as me

So I took advantage of the situation
As a friend like you comes once in a blue moon
I asked if you want to be my bez
It took time but you said yes

I was really really happy then
That I hoped time didn’t run
But I couldn’t stop it
And now a lot of changes I see

Recently we’ve grown farther apart
But on this friendship I’ll never put a dot
With or without talks, texts or communications
In my life you’ll always belong
