David Beckham’s Double Whammy

David Beckham is absolutely furious over another batch of rumors surrounding his marriage to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. Last week a British rag reported that Beckham had had an affair with his personal assistant, Rebecca Loos. Over the past weekend, another woman, Sarah Marbeck, has come forward saying she had an affair with Beckham as well. Now the Beckham’s, who have remained a united front since the stories broke, have sought the advice of legal counsel.

"This weekend a series of even more absurd and unsubstantiated claims have been published about David and Victoria Beckham," a statement was released on Monday by representatives for the couple. "The couple continue to dismiss these stories and they will not be commenting upon them further at this time. Lawyers have been instructed by David and Victoria concerning these matters."

The question remains – is this a ploy for money or did the affairs actually take place? Loos was reportedly paid six figures for an interview with the News of the World. Marbeck, a model, claims she is not trying to ruin the Beckham’s marriage. She states that she came forward with the truth because she has been waiting for two years for Beckham to leave his wife. No word yet on how much she is being paid to tell of her woes over "Becks" (as he is known). Surely there is a hefty price tag attached to her tears. The Beckham’s insist Marbeck’s claims are "unsubstantiated." Although….where there is smoke…there may be fire. Let’s just wait and see just how many past paramours come out of the woodwork!
