The Bumblebee
Dedicated to someone who left the children behind her but finally did return.
She flits around, from here to there,
Flower to flower, and tree to tree,
Sometimes landing, and sometimes not.
She has no place to lay her head,
And lives her life most randomly.
Buzzing about weeping,
Seeking for what, she does not know.
They say she lost her mind one day,
(Or did she ever have it?)
And she gave away all her family.
One day she will sting you,
The next she is honey sweet.
Once so bright her future was,
Now all is dust and ashes.
No more she reads the fairy tale,
Or rocks the crying child.
What happened to the bumblebee,
What took away her sanity…
Tell me… what ever happened to
The bumblebee we once knew?
Flower to flower, and tree to tree,
Sometimes landing, and sometimes not.
She has no place to lay her head,
And lives her life most randomly.
Buzzing about weeping,
Seeking for what, she does not know.
They say she lost her mind one day,
(Or did she ever have it?)
And she gave away all her family.
One day she will sting you,
The next she is honey sweet.
Once so bright her future was,
Now all is dust and ashes.
No more she reads the fairy tale,
Or rocks the crying child.
What happened to the bumblebee,
What took away her sanity…
Tell me… what ever happened to
The bumblebee we once knew?
